You know how I feel about volunteering… so make me happy and check out this amazing opportunity to volunteer at North Coast Music Festival! (Which is one of my clients and a very fun music festival in Chicago on Labor Day Weekend!)

Who wants to volunteer at North Coast Music Festival?

Volunteer positions are filling up fast! The ideal candidates will work one full day shift (10 hours). After your shift you get free entry into the festival to enjoy the music of exceptional artists, enjoy great food, and meet new and exciting people. You will also get a limited edition t-shirt as a fantastic keepsake for your contribution to the festival. We will provide beverages (water, Red Bull and soda) . In addition, you will get a $5.00 food coupon for working a 10-hour shift.

All application forms and deposits must be received by August 20, 2011. Please read over Q and A document and then submit your applications!

Toast of the Coast Competition is tonight!

Congratulations to the 10 Toast of the Coast finalists that have been chosen from the 100+ talented acts vying for a spot on the North Coast main stage. With over 100 entries, it wasn’t an easy decision, but we’re excited to announce the 10 acts that will battle it out on Wednesday, 7/20 at a FREE 21+ show at The Mid (306 N. Halsted). Come on by to watch them play it out for those last three spots.

The lucky artists (as voted by you!) are: Isaiah Grass, DJ Solo, Flow Theory, Mos Scoscious, Serotonin, Blah Blah Blahs, 40oz Kings, DJ Row, Jaik Willis, and The Right Now!

Not only is this a free show, but NO SERVICE FEE tickets will be available at The Mid!

I wish I had time for a full post telling you how much fun I am having live tweeting for North Coast Festival, but I am too busy tweeting, and running around the fest getting you the best shots of the talent and the crowd (and usually looking for outlets to constantly recharge my iPhone).

Amazingly, I found my hubby and my friends… and there happened to be a photo booth nearby! Thanks to the Roving Festival Writer (brilliant idea to bring a photo booth to shows, and totally wish I’d thought of this!) So fun to meet these guys after setting up their press credentials and emailing with them for the past few weeks!

Thanks to the Roving Festival Writer, someone took a pic of me with my friends, I've been on the wrong side of the lens!

And lastly, the first official North Coast Fest Tweet Up was a huge success! We had over 30 people come meet us underneath the Chicago Reader Living Gallery (read: huge rainbow tent in the middle of the festival field at 6pm on Saturday!! Thank you all for coming!

Ok, not last! I’ve been tweeting every spare second I have… and people are noticing! It’s been super fun for me, and I’ve tried to think about what festival fans want to see from the official twitter stream, so my plan is to share the pictures and the love with those that can’t be here, and I’m also trying to soak it all in, we’ve worked so hard on every aspect of this festival for months and it is so rewarding to see it come to life! So needless to say I was super happy to see this feedback this morning… it will keep me going strong for day three of North Coast Fest!

I love social media, I love live music, and I also love Chicago… so what happens when all three collide?

InteractiveAmy is an official sponsor of the North Coast Music Festival to be held in Chicago’s Union Park on September 3rd-5th! I know what I’ll be doing for Labor Day weekend, rocking out!

Not only am I a festival sponsor, but I will also be working on their social media and press outreach, and will play an instrumental role in the success of the inaugural North Coast Fest! I am so excited!! With three full days of live music on 4 stages, there is a lot of news to keep up with! We will be announcing more additions to the already awesome line up, plans for an official North Coast Festival Tweet Up and much more!

If so, tell your friends about “Toast of the Coast!” One Midwest based Band and DJ will win a spot on the lineup of the inaugural North Coast music Festival, and bragging rights to last a lifetime.

Contest Details:

Artist Submission – Between July 19th and July 23rd, artists can upload 2 tracks to the North Coast Festival Website.

Voting – Between July 24th and August 14th, each e-mail address will be allotted one vote per day, so encourage supporters to vote early and often!

The Decision – On August 15th, the votes will be tallied and North Coast Music Festival organizers will choose 10 Finalists out of the Top 20 Vote-Getters. These finalists will play a private show for organizers and their guests at a yet-to-be-disclosed location. Wow us, and you’ll be one of two winners.

We’ll pick 1 Band and 1 DJ to join the main stages for a 45-minute set. How awesome is that? Please help spread the word and get your favorite acts on the North Coast Festival Stage!
